It typically takes anywhere from five to ten days to receive a Rhode Island medical marijuana card. RI allows those with an out-of-state MMC and qualifying conditions to purchase and possess medical cannabis. Patients, authorized purchasers, and caregivers are restricted to 2.5 ounces of usable cannabis per 15 days. Approved qualifying medical conditions include:
- Seizures (including but not limited to that characteristic of epilepsy)
- Severe, debilitating, chronic pain
- Severe nausea
- Severe, persistent muscle spasms (including but not limited to those associated with multiple sclerosis or
- Crohn’s disease)
